COLOURS OF CORTEX

Brief

'Explore the future of design, through research and develop a solution for a finding within your project.'

The Game emerged from envisioning the future of design. What will change, and how can we influence it? The future I aspire to is filled with creativity and innovative approaches. How can we foster a world open to everyone? Can creativity be taught?

To explore these questions, COLOURS OF CORTEX was developed to gamify the teaching of creativity. It reimagines social games by fusing digital and analogue elements. This game bridges both realms of the design industry in an interactive and fun way, where creatives and aspiring creatives come together, play, learn, and unveil a vibrant world of colour as they progress.

The Process

COLOURS OF CORTEX was one of the most enjoyable projects I have worked on so far. For one it allowed me to generate extensive research, conducted on our KSA library, online papers and in Central London museums and exhibitions.

I was able to fully connect to my own practice and understand my message as a creative and designer. What was important to me, what did I want for my and our collective future.

Getting to work in the KSA studio space alongside brilliant minds from anywhere in the world and under the tutorship of Joe Sharpe and Greg Tilley, was truly incredible and I would count this project to the most exciting and thrilling projects in my student career.
